This project is organized by Monta and Viktors from EXP, our friends from the UK, in collaboration with DGT. Please read the info pack carefully for all the details. A program of activities will appear later, but the project is based on understanding ecology through outdoor exploration, sports (hiking, snorkeling, games, etc.), time spent in nature and knowing various locations on the island. It is very likely that for various trips to the island, extra money will be demanded from the participants, taking into account the high costs for transport to Madeira.
It will be possible to travel to Madeira based on a negative covid RT PCR test. The costs of this test will be borne by the participants. If on return to Romania you will need a negative covid RT PCR test (as it is at present), it will be performed in Madeira and will be supported by the participants.
For obvious reasons related to the international context, we will buy the flights somewhere 3-4 weeks before the trip. The ticket is purchased by the participant, and the refund will be made later, within 2/3 months, after the dissemination and centralization of transport documents. It is still too early to discuss recommended stops (currently good in Germany and mainland Portugal; eg Bucharest – Frankfurt – Lisbon – Madeira) and extra days before / after the project, but we will do it before buying flights for those who want days extra.
We are NOT looking for group leaders, currently only participants, maximum age 30 years! Priority will be given to those who have not yet participated in exotic DGT projects (Reunion Island, Greenland, Saint Maarten, etc.).
